Please plan to join us at the CAG Creativity Con Friday, October 21, 2016 at Housatonic Community College, 'Creative Thinking, Deeper Learning: A forum to energize creativity in education'. We are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker is Dr. Susan Baum, co-director of the International Center for Talent Development and Director of the National Institute for 2E Research and Development at Bridges Academy in California. She is Professor Emeritus from The College of New Rochelle, an international consultant, and dynamic speaker. Dr. Baum is published in a multitude of books, chapters, and articles in the areas of creativity, twice-exceptional students, primary-aged gifted students, social and emotional factors affecting gifted students, and multiple intelligences. She is a long-time advocate of strength-based teaching and learning that focuses on a child's interests. Creativity Con will feature workshops on topics like 'wearable technology', principles of Improv, the fuure of school, engaging Generation Z students, and much more. Minds in Motion™ is CAG's signature enrichment and education event for students K-8, as well as their parents and teachers, and features hands-on, fast-paced, high-interest workshops for gifted and high-ability children plus keynote addresses and workshops for adults free of charge.
Minds in Motion™ events take place on Saturday afternoons throughout the school year in towns across Connecticut.
