Dr. Anna Cutaia is the Superintendent of the Milford Public Schools; she began her post here in Milford on August 1, 2018. Prior to coming to Milford, she served for four years as the Superintendent of Region #14 in Connecticut.

WORKSHOP 1
Food is Medicine!
Presented by: Dr. Nicole Klughers
Did you know food is medicine? Learn how to easily make your own medicine from foods in this fun and informative workshop with Dr. Nicole, a naturopathic physician. The Food is Medicine workshop will include remedies for colds, flus, allergies, skin conditions, pain, inflammation and digestion. Leave this experience with plenty of health tips from a natural health expert.

Dr. Nicole Klughers is a naturopathic physician, acupuncture specialist, educator and former pharmacist who supports individuals to restore optimal health by addressing the root cause of health issues. Dr. Nicole offers workshops at Walnut Beach Wellness in Milford, CT.

This workshop offers holistic solutions for dealing with the tweens and the difficult hormonal changes during that age group for parents. Learn about causes of hormonal imbalances in teenagers and methods to help find balance through diet, supplements, lifestyle, stress management, mindfulness.

The Dangers of Vaping
Presented by: Janelle Jessee
This workshop provides an overview of the tobacco industry and its impacts on middle and high school aged students. Taught by a former smoker, the workshop also describes vaping and tobacco trends.

Janelle Jessee is the Program Instructor for Smokestoppers at Hartford Healthcare/St. Vincent's Foundation in New Haven, CT.


WORKSHOP 4

Intro to Improv and Storytelling
Presented by: Tori Lawlor
This workshop creates a fun and supportive environment for adults to learn the basics of improv through games, play, and improvised stories. Learn how to be positive, take risks, think on your feet, stimulate your creativity, and focus on the people with which you are working. The benefits of these skills are far reaching. Learn how to play again because all work and no play is not good for the soul.

WORKSHOP 5
Introduction to Tai Chi
Presented by: Dr. Martin Reichgut
Marty will help workshop participants experience how the flowing, meditative movements of this ancient Chinese martial art can improve balance, strength, endurance, flexibility, coordination, concentration, and memory. He will demonstrate the use of Tai Chi's self-defense strategies to reduce stress and protect from the repeated assaults of everyday life.

Dr. Marty Reichgut, a retired physician and clinical social worker, has been teaching Tai Chi for over twenty years.

Holistic Solutions for Dealing with Tweens
Presented by: Holly Burton, LMT
